How it works

How does the AI know what to say about my business?

You write and approve a short pitch before any calls are made. The AI agent uses it to introduce your business, answer basic questions, and stay on message. Nothing is said that you have not approved first.

Your pitch is the agent's only source

FoxEra's AI calling agents (Cass, Alex and Andrea) do not search the internet for information about your business. They do not guess. Everything the agent says on a call comes from the pitch you write and approve inside your account.

This means you are in full control of the message. If you want the agent to mention a specific service, a price range, or a particular area you cover, you put it in the pitch. If you do not want something mentioned, you leave it out. The agent sticks to what you have written.

What to include in your pitch

A good pitch gives the agent enough to hold a short conversation without overloading the call. Include:

  • Your business name and what you do in one sentence.
  • The specific services you are calling about. Be concrete: "commercial electrical maintenance" is better than "electrical services".
  • Where you work — the area, region or cities you cover.
  • What you are looking for — new contracts, a first meeting, a quote opportunity.
  • One or two common questions and how the agent should answer them, such as "Do you charge for quotes?" or "What areas do you cover?"

You do not need to write a word-for-word script. The agent takes your pitch and turns it into a natural conversation. But the more specific you are about your services, the better the agent handles questions. Read the full guide on writing your AI calling script.

Editing and updating your pitch

Your pitch is not locked in after the first campaign. You can edit it any time between campaigns. If you ran a test batch and noticed the agent was missing a question prospects kept asking, add the answer to your pitch and run the next batch.

This is how the agent improves over time. You listen to the call transcripts, spot what tripped the agent up, and refine the pitch. Each campaign gets tighter than the last.

Let your AI assistant draft the pitch for you

If you use ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor or another AI assistant, you can connect it to FoxEra Calls and ask it to draft your calling pitch from your own notes. Tell your assistant what your business does, who you want to call, and what you want the conversation to cover. It can write the pitch, send it to your FoxEra account, and let you review and approve it before any calls are made.

This saves time if you are not sure how to write a cold calling script from scratch. Your assistant handles the wording; you approve the final version. Nothing goes live until you say so. See the developer guide for how to connect your assistant.

What happens if the prospect asks something unexpected

The agent handles basic questions using the information in your pitch. If a prospect asks something the pitch does not cover, the agent will not invent an answer. It will acknowledge the question and explain that someone from your business will follow up with the detail.

This is a deliberate design choice. A cold call that promises the wrong thing is worse than one that says "I will have someone get back to you on that." The agent stays honest, stays on message, and leaves the detailed conversation for you. Read more about what you give up with AI cold calling.

Try it with free credit and hear the result

New accounts start with £7 of free calling credit, enough for a short test campaign. Write your pitch, upload a small list of leads, and run a batch. Then listen to the recordings and read the transcripts to see how the agent used your pitch in practice.

You pay only from 12p per connected minute after the free credit, with no subscription. If the pitch needs adjusting, edit it and run another batch. Each round costs only the connected minutes, and you can refine the message until it lands the way you want.

Start by reading what your first campaign should aim for so you set realistic expectations before picking up the phone.

Frequently asked questions

Does the AI search the internet for my business information?

No. The agent uses only the pitch you write and approve inside your FoxEra account. It does not look up your website, your reviews or any other source. You control every word.

Can I change the pitch between campaigns?

Yes. You can edit your pitch at any time between campaigns. Listen to the call recordings, spot what needs adjusting, and update the pitch before your next batch. The agent uses the latest approved version.

What if I do not know how to write a calling script?

You can read the calling script guide for tips, or connect an AI assistant like ChatGPT or Claude to draft it for you from your notes. You still approve the final version before any calls go out.

Will the agent make up information if it does not know the answer?

No. If a prospect asks something your pitch does not cover, the agent acknowledges the question and says someone from your business will follow up. It will not invent details.
