How to revoke an AI assistant's access in one click.
Connected ChatGPT, Claude or another AI assistant to FoxEra Calls and want to disconnect it? You can revoke access at any time — from the dashboard or by changing your password. Here is exactly what happens and what to check afterwards.
Why you might want to revoke access
There are several reasons you might want to disconnect an AI assistant from your FoxEra Calls account:
- You have finished testing — you connected an assistant to try the MCP server or REST API and no longer need the link.
- You are switching assistants — moving from one AI tool to another and want to tidy up the old connection.
- You shared access with someone — a colleague or agency had access and no longer needs it.
- You want a clean slate — revoking and reconnecting is the fastest way to reset permissions.
Whatever the reason, disconnecting is instant and does not affect your leads, transcripts or account balance.
Revoke a single connector or API key
Log into FoxEra Calls and go to your account settings. You will see a list of connected services — each MCP connector or API key you have created. Click revoke next to the one you want to remove.
That connector or key stops working immediately. Any AI assistant using it will receive an authentication error on its next request. It cannot read your leads, start campaigns or access transcripts.
Your other connectors and keys remain active. If you have two assistants connected, revoking one does not affect the other.
Change your password to disconnect everything
If you want to cut off all connected AI assistants at once, change your FoxEra Calls password. This invalidates every active session and every OAuth token tied to your account.
After changing your password:
- All AI assistants are disconnected — ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor and any other tool will need to be reconnected with a fresh authorisation.
- All browser sessions are logged out — you will need to sign back in on each device.
- API keys are unaffected — if you issued an
fxk_API key separately, you will need to revoke that manually as well.
This is the nuclear option. It is useful if you suspect unauthorised access or simply want to start fresh. For more about how the OAuth flow works, read remote MCP server OAuth explained.
What to check after revoking access
Once you have revoked a connector or changed your password, check for any campaigns that were scheduled or still running:
- Active campaigns — a running campaign continues even after the assistant that created it is disconnected. The campaign belongs to your account, not to the assistant. If you want to stop it, cancel it from the dashboard or from another connected assistant.
- Scheduled campaigns — if a campaign was set to run tomorrow morning, it will still run unless you cancel it. Review your scheduled campaigns after revoking access.
- Lead data — revoking access does not delete leads, transcripts or recordings. Everything stays in your account.
If you need to stop a live campaign immediately, you can do that from the dashboard regardless of how it was started.
Frequently asked questions
Does revoking access delete my leads or call history?
No. Revoking a connector or API key only stops that assistant from accessing your account. All leads, transcripts, recordings and billing history remain in your FoxEra Calls account.
Will a running campaign stop if I revoke the assistant that started it?
No. Once a campaign is approved and running, it belongs to your account. Revoking the assistant's access does not stop the campaign. You can cancel it from the dashboard or from another connected assistant.
Can I reconnect the same AI assistant after revoking access?
Yes. You can reconnect at any time by going through the authorisation flow again. Visit the developer guide for connection instructions.
