FoxEra Calls vs Vapi
Two different products for two different buyers. Here is what each one costs, what it includes for a UK or Portuguese business, and when you should pick Vapi instead of us.
We make FoxEra Calls, so read this knowing that. Every fact about the other company below was read on its own website or tried in its own free account on 4 October 2026, and each one says where it came from. Prices and features change; check their pricing page before you decide. Where they are the better choice, we say so.
Vapi and FoxEra Calls in one paragraph
Vapi is a developer platform for voice agents. You choose the speech, language-model and voice providers; Vapi charges for hosting and passes the model costs through. It has assistants, squads, tools, simulations, campaigns and a large documentation site.
FoxEra Calls is a finished product for small businesses that do not have a developer: it finds leads, calls them with an AI agent, reviews every answered call and keeps the follow-ups in one place. It also has a separate AI receptionist for incoming calls.

Where Vapi is the better choice
- You have developers and want to pick every provider (speech, model, voice) yourself.
- You want squads of agents, custom tools and SDKs.
- You want a demo line and a big developer community (Vapi’s Discord had over 26,000 members on 4 Oct 2026).
Where FoxEra Calls is the better choice
- Leads are found inside the product: Google Maps search, the FoxEra business database, or a web search, plus an optional owner-mobile lookup.
- No phone number to buy before your first outbound call: calls go out from FoxEra’s own UK and Portuguese caller-ID numbers.
- The agent speaks the contact’s language: the contact’s own setting, then its company’s, then the country of the number (+351 = European Portuguese). It switches if the person answers in a full sentence in another language.
- Every answered outbound call is reviewed a minute or so after hang-up: a score out of 30, where the call lost the person, long silences, talking over people.
- A Warm calls inbox lists everyone who showed interest, with the recording, a Call back button and follow-up tasks.
- One campaign call per contact per day, and nothing dials until you approve the campaign.
- One price that includes the AI and the phone call, instead of hosting plus model costs plus telephony.
What FoxEra Calls does not do (yet)
- No warm transfer to your salesperson in the middle of an outbound call. The receptionist puts real emergencies through to your mobile; everything else becomes a call-back.
- No visual flow builder, no custom HTTP tools inside a call, and no Zapier, Make or n8n listing. There is a public API and an MCP connector for ChatGPT and Claude.
- No voice cloning and a small choice of agents (Cass for outbound calling, Julia on the receptionist).
- No prices in euros: FoxEra publishes its prices in pounds.

Frequently asked questions
Is Vapi cheaper than FoxEra?
Vapi’s own calculator put 1,000 minutes at roughly $0.08–$0.13 per minute before telephony on 4 October 2026, plus a support plan if you want one. FoxEra is 21p per connected minute with dialling and the AI included. If you have a developer and only need the voice engine, Vapi can cost less; if you also need the leads, the calling and the follow-up, compare the whole month.
Do I need a developer to use Vapi?
Vapi is built for developers. You can make an assistant in the dashboard, but numbers outside the US come from your own telephony account. FoxEra is set up by answering questions about your business.
Can Vapi run UK campaigns?
Yes, with a number imported from a provider such as Twilio. Vapi’s free number is a US number.
