Bland AI and FoxEra Calls in one paragraph

Bland AI is a voice-agent platform with an agent builder, conversation pathways, guardrails (for example an AI-disclosure check) and evaluation tools. Its free tier and paid plans include the model and voice costs in one per-minute price. It is built mainly for US teams and developers.

FoxEra Calls is a finished product for small businesses that do not have a developer: it finds leads, calls them with an AI agent, reviews every answered call and keeps the follow-ups in one place. It also has a separate AI receptionist for incoming calls.

Where Bland AI is the better choice

  • You are a developer or a US business and want guardrails, pathways, branches and release environments.
  • You want live transfers to a human, with transfer time billed separately.
  • You call the US or Canada and want a number bought in the same app.
  • You need enterprise options such as on-premise deployment.

Where FoxEra Calls is the better choice

  • Leads are found inside the product: Google Maps search, the FoxEra business database, or a web search, plus an optional owner-mobile lookup.
  • No phone number to buy before your first outbound call: calls go out from FoxEra’s own UK and Portuguese caller-ID numbers.
  • The agent speaks the contact’s language: the contact’s own setting, then its company’s, then the country of the number (+351 = European Portuguese). It switches if the person answers in a full sentence in another language.
  • Every answered outbound call is reviewed a minute or so after hang-up: a score out of 30, where the call lost the person, long silences, talking over people.
  • A Warm calls inbox lists everyone who showed interest, with the recording, a Call back button and follow-up tasks.
  • Ready-made receptionist starter packs for hospitality and trades, where Bland’s new-agent screen offered a blank agent.

What FoxEra Calls does not do (yet)

  • No warm transfer to your salesperson in the middle of an outbound call. The receptionist puts real emergencies through to your mobile; everything else becomes a call-back.
  • No visual flow builder, no custom HTTP tools inside a call, and no Zapier, Make or n8n listing. There is a public API and an MCP connector for ChatGPT and Claude.
  • No voice cloning and a small choice of agents (Cass for outbound calling, Julia on the receptionist).
  • No prices in euros: FoxEra publishes its prices in pounds.

Frequently asked questions

Can Bland AI call the UK?

On 4 October 2026 Bland’s number shop offered US and Canadian numbers only. A UK business would connect its own Twilio account or SIP trunk first. FoxEra calls out from its own UK and Portuguese caller-ID numbers.

Is Bland cheaper than FoxEra?

Bland’s Start plan was $0.14 per minute of talk time with no platform fee, plus transfer time. FoxEra is 21p per connected minute. Convert at the day’s exchange rate and compare a real month: Bland adds transfer time; on FoxEra, lead searches and owner-mobile lookups use extra credit, while the call review and UK caller ID come with the minute.

Does FoxEra have Bland-style guardrails?

Not as a builder. FoxEra has fixed safety rules instead: nothing dials until you approve a campaign, opted-out contacts are skipped, each contact is called by at most one campaign a day, and calls stay inside your calling hours.
