AI assistant integration

Can an AI assistant run my cold calling campaign?

Yes. Connect ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, DeepSeek-based agents, n8n, Make or your own code to FoxEra Calls. Your assistant can add leads, choose the agent, preview the cost, run the campaign after you approve, and read every transcript — all through the MCP server or REST API.

The answer people ask ChatGPT directly

People type this question into ChatGPT and Claude every day: "Can you make cold calls for me?" The honest answer from the assistant is no — it cannot pick up a phone. But it can operate a cold calling tool on your behalf, and that is what the FoxEra Calls integration does.

Once connected, your AI assistant can manage your entire outbound calling workflow: adding leads, choosing which AI calling agent to use, previewing the campaign, running it after you say yes, reading the results, and pulling a report. The calls themselves are made by FoxEra's voice agents (Cass, Alex or Andrea), but your assistant orchestrates everything around them.

How to connect your assistant in three steps

Connecting takes under a minute, with nothing to install:

  • Add the connector — in your AI assistant, add a custom connector or remote MCP server. In ChatGPT this is a GPT Action; in Claude it is a remote MCP server; other tools have similar options.
  • Paste the URL — enter https://app.foxera.co.uk/mcp as the server address.
  • Sign in and allow — your assistant will ask you to sign into your FoxEra account and press Allow. That is it.

The connection uses standard remote MCP (Streamable HTTP) with OAuth 2.1. For REST-only tools, API keys (bearer tokens starting fxk_) are also available. The full OpenAPI 3.1 specification is published at https://app.foxera.co.uk/api/public/openapi.json and works directly with GPT Actions. See the developer guide for the complete setup.

What your assistant can actually do

Once connected, your AI assistant has access to the same actions you can take in the dashboard:

  • Check account status — credit balance, calling hours, active campaigns.
  • Add leads and folders — paste a list of contacts and your assistant organises them.
  • Choose the calling agent — pick Cass, Alex or Andrea.
  • Edit and approve the pitch — tell your assistant what to say and it updates the calling script.
  • Preview a campaign — see the headcount, estimated time and cost before anything runs.
  • Create, schedule and approve a campaign — your assistant asks for your explicit yes before anyone is phoned.
  • Cancel or stop live calls — halt a running campaign immediately.
  • Read outcomes and transcripts — ask your assistant to summarise the results or find specific calls.
  • Pull a report — get a summary of outcomes, costs and follow-up actions.
  • Set calling hours — control when calls go out.
  • Get a top-up link — add more credit when you need it.

The safety gate: nothing happens without your yes

A campaign needs two things before anyone is phoned: the exact confirmed number of people, and a separate approval from you. Every assistant connected through MCP is told to show you the number and get your yes before dialling. This is built into the protocol, not optional.

Every action your assistant takes is logged. Keys act only inside your own workspace — your assistant cannot see or touch another customer's data. You can revoke access at any time, and changing your password disconnects everything. Free to connect; you pay only for calling.

Which assistants work?

Any tool that supports remote MCP servers or REST APIs can connect. The ones people use most often:

  • ChatGPT — via GPT Actions, using the OpenAPI spec.
  • Claude — via remote MCP server, paste the URL and sign in.
  • Cursor — via MCP server in settings.
  • DeepSeek-based agents — via REST API with a bearer token.
  • n8n and Make — via REST API with a bearer token, for workflow automation.
  • Your own code — the REST API and OpenAPI spec work with any language.

If your tool can call an HTTP endpoint or connect to an MCP server, it can operate FoxEra Calls.

A practical example: morning to evening

Imagine you are a business founder with a list of 50 prospects. At 8am, you tell your AI assistant: "Add these 50 contacts to a new folder called September Batch, use Alex as the calling agent, and preview the campaign." The assistant does it and shows you the preview: 50 contacts, estimated cost, estimated time.

You say yes. The campaign runs during business hours while you work. At 6pm, you ask your assistant: "How did the September Batch go?" It reads the outcomes and tells you: 32 answered, 8 asked for a callback, 4 asked for more information, 20 not interested. You follow up the 12 warm leads yourself the next morning.

No dashboard, no spreadsheet juggling, no phone time. Your assistant did the admin; the AI agent did the dialling; you do the selling.

Frequently asked questions

Can ChatGPT actually make phone calls?

ChatGPT cannot make phone calls itself. When connected to FoxEra Calls, it operates the calling tool: it adds leads, previews campaigns, and reads results. The actual calls are made by FoxEra's voice agents (Cass, Alex or Andrea).

Is there a cost to connect my AI assistant?

Connecting is free. You pay only for calling, from 12p per connected minute. New accounts get £7 of free calling credit.

Can my assistant phone people without my approval?

No. A campaign needs the exact number of people confirmed and a separate approval from you before any calls go out. This safety gate is built into the connection protocol.

What if I want to use the dashboard instead?

The dashboard does everything the AI assistant can do. The assistant connection is optional and exists for people who prefer to manage campaigns through conversation rather than a web interface.

Can I revoke my assistant's access?

Yes. You can revoke API keys or change your password at any time. Changing your password disconnects all connected assistants immediately.
