What if the AI says something wrong on a sales call?
You control the script, every call is recorded and transcribed so mistakes are visible immediately, and you can stop a live campaign at any time — including from an AI assistant connected over MCP.
You approve the script before any call is made
The AI calling agent (Cass, Alex or Andrea) works from a pitch you write and approve. It does not invent claims, make up prices, or promise things you have not told it to say. The pitch is the boundary: anything outside it, the agent will not say.
Before your first campaign, you review the exact wording the agent will use. You can edit it between campaigns, adjust it for different audiences, and test it with a small batch before scaling up. The script guide covers how to write a pitch that works.
Every call is recorded and transcribed
FoxEra records every call and produces a full transcript. If the agent says something unexpected, you will see it in the text. You do not need to listen to every recording — scan the transcripts, and listen only where something looks off.
This is a level of visibility most manual cold calling does not offer. When you hire a human caller, you rarely know exactly what was said on each call. With an AI agent, the full conversation is logged word for word. The transcript reading guide explains how to review them efficiently.
You can stop a live campaign at any time
If you notice something wrong mid-campaign, you can stop it immediately from the dashboard. No further calls go out once you hit stop. You can also cancel or stop a campaign from your AI assistant if you have connected one — through the MCP server or REST API.
This means you are never locked into a run. Start a small campaign, review the first few transcripts, and continue or stop based on what you see.
What kinds of mistakes can happen?
AI calling agents are consistent — they follow the script the same way every time. The types of errors you might see are different from human mistakes:
- Mispronunciation — unusual company names, technical terms or place names may be pronounced oddly. You can adjust the spelling in the script to guide pronunciation.
- Unexpected questions — if a prospect asks something the script does not cover, the agent will say it does not have that information and suggest following up. It will not make something up.
- Tone mismatch — if the script is too formal for your market (or not formal enough), you will hear it in the recordings and can rewrite for the next campaign.
None of these are hidden. The transcript shows exactly what was said, and the recording lets you hear how it sounded.
How this compares to human callers
A human caller can go off-script, make promises you did not authorise, or misrepresent your business without you knowing. You only find out when a prospect mentions something you never said. With an AI agent, every word is on the transcript — nothing is hidden and nothing is forgotten.
That said, a human caller can improvise in ways an AI agent cannot. The trade-off is control versus flexibility. Most small businesses running outbound campaigns value the control: they want to know exactly what was said and to whom. For a detailed comparison, see AI cold calling vs manual calling.
Using your AI assistant to monitor calls
If you connect ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor or another AI assistant to your FoxEra account, you can ask it to read your call transcripts, summarise the outcomes, and flag anything that looks off. Your assistant can also stop a live campaign on your behalf if you ask it to.
This is useful if you are running a campaign while on site or in meetings. Your assistant reads the results and alerts you to anything that needs your attention, without you logging into the dashboard. See the developer guide for how to connect.
Frequently asked questions
Can the AI agent make false promises on a call?
No. The agent follows the script you approve. It does not invent claims or commit to anything outside the pitch you wrote. If asked something it cannot answer, it says it does not have that information.
How do I fix the script if something sounds wrong?
Edit the pitch in your dashboard before the next campaign. Changes take effect immediately. You can also ask your AI assistant to update the pitch if you have connected one through the developer connector.
Can I listen to calls as they happen?
Recordings and transcripts are available once each call finishes. You can review them as the campaign runs and stop the campaign if anything needs correcting.
Is every call recorded?
Yes. Every call made by the AI agent is recorded and transcribed. You can listen to any recording and read the full transcript from your dashboard.
